A pair of vintageFrye Boots from 1975. The American brand has it's roots back in 1863 whenJohn A. Frye first opened his doors to a small shoe shop inMarlboro, Massachusetts. His intention was to provide good and sturdy boots that hopefully would ease theeveryday life of factory workers in that small New England town. Almost a decade later the boots had become considered iconic footwear and could be seen oncelebritiessuch asJackie O, John Lennon and Bruce Springsteenamong others.
The reason we know the exact age of these is because the previous owner's father bought them back in 1975 and since then they have been used by two generations! Thats also the reason for the amazing patina that they have.
The leather is thick and still soft. They have scratches and other signs of wear but are still in pretty good condition for their age, and one can see that they have been loved and most likely been part of quite some adventures! The boots have just been seen to by a cobbler and the leather has been conditioned so they are ready to be worn.
Regarding the sizethe boots have no markings but they are slightly too big for Kerstin who wears US 8 / EU 41 on her Red Wings so if you are a US 9 / EU 42 these boots should fit you!
The outer sole measures 29 cm from heel to toe and the sole measures 11,4 cm atits widest at the front of the shoe.
